2. What the game stores

You can play without an account. Your village, progress, settings and a small error log (shown under Settings, only for you to copy into a bug report) are saved only in your own browser (local storage on your device). The game files are also kept in your browser's offline cache so the game starts without a connection. We do not receive any of this. You can delete it at any time by clearing the site data in your browser.

The game sets no cookies, uses no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. Fonts, scripts and 3D models are served from our own server; no data is sent to third parties when you load the game.

3. Hosting and server logs

The game is hosted by Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany (servers in the EU). When you open the game, the server processes your IP address, the time, the requested file and your browser type in order to deliver the files and to protect the server against attacks. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in a secure, working service (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). These logs are kept only as long as needed for that purpose.

4. Playing inside the Katana Inu launcher

If you play the game inside the Katana Inu launcher and are signed in there, your save is copied to your launcher account so you can continue on other devices (legal basis: performance of the service you requested, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Purchases are handled only by the launcher. The launcher privacy policy applies to that data.

5. Your rights

You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or object to processing where the legal conditions apply, and you may complain to the data protection authority at your residence, workplace or the place of an alleged infringement. Contact: business@katanainu.com.

The in-game store only shows items. Any purchase takes place in the Katana Inu launcher under its terms and withdrawal policy. Items are cosmetic and have no cash value.

Your statutory rights as a consumer remain unaffected.
